Dogs and Computers Don't Go Together

158.8 on the scale, no exercise. I woke up kinda late today, and frankly, I must be giving my knees a pounding lately, because they freakin' hurt.

So, yesterday turned out nothing like I blogged about. My afternoon-long meeting got moved, and my morning meeting got moved to the afternoon, so I actually had a few chunks of time to continue beating Excel into submission.

I succeeded, for the most part!

And as if that wasn't enough geeking for the day, after supper I decided to finally replace the keyboard on an old PowerBook G4 that I've been configuring for the chilluns.

Cecil, of course, wanted to help.

So did Ginger. In fact, she leapt onto the bed and spilled the container where I was safe-keeping all the microscopic screws that you have to take out to get to the keyboard. Figures.

She also jumped up and ripped a key off the keyboard of that very computer when we first got her.

Hump Day

158.0 on the scale, 11 miles biking on the path, and 150/100.

This morning, I'll be sitting in a coffee shop to further the Spreadsheet Action I've been working on (Feebuilder), until my meeting-marathon day starts at 11.

I had the weirdest dreams last night.  One was that I'd put a quarter in a slot machine and hit a jackpot of 5043 quarters. BUT, the goddamn casino was trying to tell me that all I was gonna get was the $20 or so that was in the machine. I was pissed!!

When I woke up, I even multiplied 5403 x .25 to see how much those bastards were gyppin' me!  That's like $1200!

I Should Really Start Blogging Again

I mean, seriously.

What's my problem?

Jesus Works At Sprint

Seriously, I just chatted with him.

Introduced myself to Crooked Man today. His name is also John!

Quiet, Productive, and Destructive Day

157.4 on the scale, 11.0 miles biking on the path, and 0/0.

Today I dropped Cole off at Critter Camp, then headed to a Dunn Bros to make some headway on the fancy feebuilder spreadsheet I'm building. I'm working on the allocation tab now. Wooo!

I came home in time to make Cory and Jo lunch, only to find Cory had already eaten a can of Progresso. Despite that, he had a sandwich along with Jo, and I used some of the leftovers to make a taco salad.

No long after lunch, Cory's friend Holden came over to play.

I spent the afternoon first, messing up the internet, and then sitting online with a Mediacom professional to fix it. Turns out the new modem they brought over is only for the phone, they bumped up the speed on their end and are leaving the old one in place for that.

Who knew?

After I got that working, I pulled out two of the Let's Dish meals that Lisa & Jenny brought over to us and whipped them up. Calypso Chicken with Pineapple, and Garlicky Lemon Tilapia. I actually defrosted the tilapia into three different servings, so I can whip one of those in for Cole whilst we eat the meaty goodness.

Holden joined us for supper since there was plenty and he eats like a bird, and now Cory's soon to head over to his house for a spontaneous sleepover.

Me, I'm headed to SuperTarget shortly to pick up some stuff that we constantly run out of, and some stuff I couldn't find last time I was out shopping.

I just biked past Dick Enrico. Does the number of sightings I have of him have meaning?
